It was a pretty fun event, big thanks to Jason and his crew for rocking the acoustic set. Thanks to Electric for providing the free drinks and Efrem for rolling with our ghetto DJ set up. Jason will be the Nine Star featured artist for the rest of 2008. Come by and check out his work at either location until Jan 1st.
We're welcoming in our new featured artist for the fall season this weekend, Jason Alexander Cruz. Jason is putting his own special tweak on the stores and launching his solo show this Saturday Nov. 8th, with an opening reception beginning at 8PM.
DJ Efrem from Death By Stereo will be spinning, free drinks will be flowing at the Electric Visual bar, and Jason Cruz is set for a special acoustic performance. We'll see you all here, be sure to bring your ID if you plan on having a drink.
Find out more about Jason at his website: jasonalexandercruz.com

If you haven't seen skateboarding in high definition you have to check this out. Since our lovely computer monitors are actually HD sets by themselves, this little 150mb download is totally worth it. You have to check it out..great video. Click the picture to download. After you download you have to unzip the file using a program like winzip . After transferring the file to your hard drive you have to rename the file extension to .mp4. At the end of the file just change the .m4v to the .mp4. You can then enjoy this thing…. This is Girl and Choc. video guy…..
Check out our homie Rick Thorne interviewing Strung Out on ESPN radio. You get to hear a new song from Strung Out’s upcoming album and listen to Ricks crazy rambling by clinking the image below and downloading the MP3. If you would rather listen to it on the expn audio player you can visit EXPN.com and click the "play" button in the lower left side of the screen. I'd fast forward to just about 5:00 into the broadcast and skip the X Games news. That will get you front and center for a little shout-out to Nine Star followed by the new song…

Im glad Fuel TV was there to grab some action shots!

Check this out. Danny way bomb drops from the top of the guitar at the Hard Rock Hotel in good old Las Vegas.
DANNY WAY BREAKS BOMB DROP WORLD RECORD LAS VEGAS, April 7th – On Thursday April 6th, Danny Way broke the Bomb Drop world record by freefalling 28 feet from the neck of the famous Fender Stratocaster guitar on top of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Thousands of people gathered around the Hard Rock to watch Danny attempt this world record drop. After 5 attempts, Danny successfully stuck two drops breaking the previous freefall record of 12 feet. Skateboarding vert pro’s Bob Burnquist, Pierre-Luc "PLG" Gagnon, Rune Glifberg, Tony Magnusson, Mathias Ringstrom, and Jake Brown also made appearances at the Hard Rock to ride the MegaRamp and support Danny. Skateboard legends Lance Mountain and Dave Duncan were also on hand to witness the drop. The event, originally scheduled for April 5th, was delayed due to high winds and bad weather.
"Despite the variables in the ramp design, we managed to make this happen," said Danny Way. "This demonstrates the continued progression of skateboarding."
The Bomb Drop event was created by Danny Way and Ignition to launch their action sports mobile phone content company. The event was hosted by Ignition, m-Qube and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, as part of the mobile communications industry's annual CTIA trade show. For more information on Ignition go to www.ignition.tv
Congratulations to Danny from everyone at Plan B Skateboards on achieving another skateboarding world record.
