This was put together about three years ago. Thought i would share it. Aww the days of golden knees.
Ha ha, we totally spanked the West LA bus up the mountain to get the cherry parking spot while the LA bus had to park it in the overflow! We had pre-made PBJ sack lunches with raisin boxes, I think the LA crew had to pan handle for food by the side of their bus like 3 miles away from the slopes. Obviously the winner of the bus wars was “The Free Ride to Mt High” from Mission Viejo! Check the pics below, click to scroll through all the shots or go to the bottom of the picture to see more options.
Oh, and the fact that our bus broke down like 12 times on the way up and back and the driver had to fill the radiator with like a whole case of our water bottles only made the trip more exciting. Also the fact that one of our guys got a concussion only means we are “more epi-gnar-gnar like that”, so we still rule! Suck our stinky bus fumes LA bus!
Usually the day after Halloween really sucks cause you're probably all messed up from eating like 20 mini snickers bars and drinking about two liters of Pap's Blue Ribbon. But this year you better puke it off, cause The Cali Love Tour is hitting Nine Star West Los Angeles on Thursday Nov 1st @ 6PM. And if you're too busy making out with the porcelain wishing well you'll miss your chance to walk away with a ton of free stuff from Forum, Foursquare & Special Blend. Not to mention the video showings, autograph signings, and all around craziness that will be going off all night long.

KROQ Stormed Bear Mt on Thursday February 15th, 2007! Free Lift Tickets to this event were given out from both Nine Star stores for everyone to enjoy an awesome time on the hill along with live concerts from Mickey Avalon, Saosin and Bullet for My Valentine performing throughout the day!
KROQ Joqs( Kevin & Bean, Kat and Stryker) were also there broadcasting Live and Nine Star/KROQ handed out shirts and other freebies to the audience! You couldn't ask for a better day.

Nine Star gave out a free bus ride to Mountain High from the West LA store on Saturday January 20th. It was an awesome day with great snow conditions and perfect weather. Mt High was super fun with all it's terrain and features and everyone had a blast. It's definitely something we will be doing again next month. So if you missed out, don't worry we're having another one coming up. It's great way to chill out with your friends on the ride up the hill and back and not have to worry about parking. Not to mention the free snacks and drinks!
Check out more pix under our gallery.
Add Nine Star as a friend on my space and we'll keep you posted on our latest events . http://www.myspace.com/ninestarlosangeles and/or http://www.myspace.com/ninestarmissionviejo .

Yep, the Burton Rail Jams are over for 2006 and if you missed em, you missed one hell of a time. Wait, you're skimming this paragraph for links to more photos right now aren’t you? Well… don't, cause I didn't take many. In fact the whole reason for this post is really cause I got to use Auto-Stitch, which is a free photo stitching program that actually works most of the time. It's a little weird when people move throughout your shots (see below) but it still beats the hour in Photoshop compiling manually. You can download auto-stitch by clicking here. But sorry, if you wanted the full run down and photo-set from the Burton Rail Jam, you’re just going to have to wait for Eric's slow ass to post them.
Joyce from 9star at MT HIgh! Picure taken from Mt. Highs picture page from today….
So a few of us went out to check out the premiere in Santa Monica for the new Burton movie For Right or Wrong and it was way better than I expected. It would have been better if I hadn't had to work late because Akiko and I couldn't get seats so we watched it from the back. Anyway definitely check it out! Kelly Clark represented the ladies by throwing down in the pipe in case you missed it at the Olympics. We saw how much you can abuse a board by jumping down to last section of a crazy long rail! Landing and riding out was sick!!! Of course Sean White throws down. We saw Terje, Keir and more. Oh and Mads built some insane hit and got crazy air like he likes to do! There was some big mountain heli riding that makes you super jealous. So yea something for everyone! Check it out! I know I can't wait to get out for my first day of the year!!

Looks good for a wetter than normal winter!!!!!

Snowboarding in July has always been very fun. Yes, I said July and you read right. Fortunate few get a chance of shredding the gnar gnar in the middle of summer and Team Nine Star was one of those fortunate few. With many thanks to John and Justin from K2 Snowboards, this summer trip was a fun one. We first arrived at Seattle and that night we went out and checked out the local hang out spot and saw some great bands at a small local venue. The next morning we took the Ferry and headed out to Vashon Island where the K2 Headquarters are located. There we toured the factory and observed how the research and development team design a board and then make a prototype to be tested by their team. After checking out the factory we headed down to Mt. Hood to do a little testing of our own. K2 was kind enough to arrange a 9 hole golf tourney before we made our way into government village. Let me tell you, I have never played golf so drunk in my life! it was around this time where my memory gets hazy for the rest of the trip. I'll just let the pictures tell the story and you try to figure it out for yourself.

Our buyer Eric and his fabulous hair, no to mention sexy shades on the ferry on the way to Vashon island.

First night in Seattle. Seattle has some crazy people. This guy was a fan of one the bands playing at the bar that night. Dedicated!

Summer time slush fest at Mt. Hood. It's so much funner than it looks.

Campers checking out my homemade graphics on my board. (they were x-rated, and note the beer on the board!) I was being the guy these kids' moms warned them about!

Edward 40 hands! a game with no winners. This is when trouble began.

Eric cheating by cooling his 40. (note this guy's hair then check out the next pic.) I wasn't kidding when I said this is when trouble began!

Aftermath of playing Edward 40 hands!

John, K2 sales manager forgot to take his shoes off before passing out, which means open season to get messed with while passed out. sharpies, whip cream and marshmellows were involved.

This guy was the only bartender in town and on the third night he threw my ass out the bar. But I managed to get back in somehow. So I was told!

Japanese campers are fun. the one on the left liked to measure everything she got a hold of.
Thats right, a slalom contest out at Baldy! Everyone should make it up to Baldy this weekend for some fun brought to you by Arbor snowboards. This is the first time i have heard of a banked slalom up at Baldy and i ma really excited. The snow is great up there right now. Check out the flier below….
Its a sad day up at Mammoth. 3 ski patrollers die while trying to rope off an unsafe area.
April 7, 2006
Contact: Rusty Gregory, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area CEO 760.934.0645
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, CA — At approximately 11:29am yesterday, Thursday, April 6, 2006, four experienced Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrollers were inspecting the mountain after recent heavy snowstorms. The patrollers were fencing off a natural hazard, a deep gas vent, on Christmas Bowl run, east of Chair 3 when the snow around the vent collapsed. Two patrollers, John McAndrews and James Juarez, fell into the approximately 6-ft hole, down 21 feet of snow to the earth. Two patrollers attempting to help, Walter Rosenthal and Jeff Bridges, descended into the hole. Members of Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol working nearby quickly initiated additional rescue efforts and were assisted by the Mammoth Lakes Fire Department and Mono County Paramedics. The victims were immediately transported to Mammoth Hospital. Mammoth Mountain Ski Patroller Jeff Bridges survived and Rosenthal, McAndrews and Juarez perished as a result of the accident.

Attention all you gnar gnar shredders. Mammoth Mountain just topped it's own record of 617 inches of snow that was set back in the 92/93 season yesterday. Mother nature has dumped and puked about 637 inches so far this season and it's still snowing heavily up there. Curently there is a 22 foot base and it's still building up. So what are you waiting for? bring them dried up boards to the shop so that our trusty slaves… I mean techs (Jay, Sean and Aryeh) can put a fresh coat of powder wax on your stick and send you on your way to shred. What's that? can't make it in yet? it's ok because we all the recent snow, Mammoth has extended its season well into July. What's better than Hot dogs, beer and snowboarding on 4th of July?
Looks like a few of you may have scored another good day at our local mountains. This season really turned out to be a good one in March. I hope it keeps going well into April. Mammoth should be open till July with all the snow they have.
Check out yesterday at Mt High….
Yes this is another post about how Mammoth Mountain rules…. al you have to do is take a gander at the picture below and you will understand….
And yes again This is a picture of Today (monday 3-13-06) I know you guys wish you where here… well i will think of you because i am here…..

Big Bear is reporting 24 to 27 inches of fresh powder.. Better get your butts in high gear.. its not usually 20 degrees up in the local mountains with that much fresh powder…
